Mahir Çipil was appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer of Ray Sigorta as of 1 March 2016. Mahir Çipil, who graduated from Hacettepe University, Department of Business Administration and got his MBA degree from Cornell University in USA and also in London Business School, took office as the Chief Marketing Officer at Ray Sigorta.
Mahir Çipil began his career at the Undersecretariat of Treasury in 2000, and served in several positions at the Directorate General of Insurance and Directorate General of Foreign Economic Relations, and became a department head afterwards. Çipil administered different works at the Undersecretariat including the regulatory affairs of insurance companies, foundation of TCIP and TRAMER, and strategic planning regarding the insurance market. In 2010, he worked at Groupama Sigorta and Groupama Emeklilik as the Head of Strategy and Project Management Department responsible from change management projects such as e centralization of claims, technical and collection services and restructuring of operational processes. In 2013, he joined Zurich Sigorta family as the Coordinator of Project Management and Organization to work on bancassurance integration and strategic acquisition projects; and was later appointed as the Chief Marketing Officer and Member of the Executive Board as of June 2013. In this position, he supervised brand positioning, restructuring of customer satisfaction processes, strategy building for the digital channel and optimization of products. In 2015, in addition to his marketing responsibilities, he undertook the responsibility of all claims functions as the Coordinator of Claims Services. Mahir Çipil gives project management lectures at Bilgi University and marketing lessons at Turkish Insurance Institute. He has published four books and several articles on risk management and insurance.
