Insurtech HUB will support insurance initiatives and projects in cooperation with Yıldız Teknopark

Insurtech HUB began its activities in Turkey with the aim of paving the way for new technologies and innovations in insurance market. Insurtech HUB will conduct its Incubation Program in cooperation with Yıldız Teknkopark, and offer value-added service for the entire ecosystem ranging from start-ups to insurers, from brokers to public institutions.

İsa Turgut İnci, Assistant General Manager of Yıldız Teknopark, gave a statement during the press conference which was organized for the announcement and promotion of Insurtech HUB, and said: “Yıldız Incubation Center is Turkey’s largest incubation center covering an area of 4 thousand 500 square meters. Turkey’s first Insurtech Incubation Center was opened within the body of Yıldız Incubation Center and began to receive applications from Insurtech initiatives from the insurance market. Access to qualified personnel is the reason behind many companies wishing to be located inside universities. Yldız Technical University is one of the largest universities in the ecosystem. Plus, we are conducting important studies here. We bring together market companies in meetings attended by university students, Yıldız Teknopark and student clubs.”

Insurtech HUB will support more than 100 start-ups

Andrew Warburton, General Manager of Insurtech HUB, gave examples from similar Insurtech practices around the world; and added: “So far, insurtech initiatives around the world managed to receive a total investment of 5 billion USD. More than 30 start-ups have applied to Insurtech HUB Turkey until today. Nearly 10 of them were accepted for incubation and acceleration programs. Insurtech Hub will act as a bridge between insurance market and entrepreneurs, and between entrepreneurs and investors; and aims to provide support for more than 100 successful startups in 5 years. Today, we are also bringing together some of the startups that have already been elected for Insurtech HUB and market representatives as a part of this meeting.”
