Transactions are easier with Vakıf Emeklilik Mobile Branch

 

 


Vakıf Emeklilik offers annual life insurance, personal accident insurance and individual pension products via “Vakıf Emeklilik Mobile Branch”, which has recently been redesigned to comply with customer expectations with the aim of using the innovative solutions provided by the digital world most accurately. Özgür Obalı, General Manager of Vakıf Emeklilik, met with press members to explain the new features of their Mobile Branch. He said they put a lot of effort for digitalization in recent years. Deputy General Managers Volkan Sinan and Cenk Torgalöz also attended the press conference. Stating that they constantly improved the Mobile Branch, which had been launched in 2014; Özgür Obalı explained the new features in following statement:

 

Mobile Branch gets new “user-friendly” features


“Customer security precautions have been maximized thanks to the new fingerprint and Face ID functions added to the new Mobile Branch, which will simplify the life for participants and offer them a personalized experience. With this feature, it became possible to verify and even change the phone numbers of Mobile Branch users. With the new application, password changing transactions were included in the application; and customers are now able to conduct many transactions over the Mobile Branch without needing to call the contact center. We have also added 3D secure feature. Moreover, participants will also be able to compare fund performances to other investment tools such as gold or ISE (İstanbul Stock Exchange). New Mobile Branch also gained a new feature that will enable customers to display their account activities and payment receipts via simple steps and anytime they want.”

 

Fund distribution changes can be monitored online


Özgür Obalı, who told that the new application will help customers gain speed and time, said that the Mobile Branch was a product of Vakıf Emeklilik’s customer-oriented business culture. Stating that the application also enables users to conduct insurance and fund transactions easily, Özgür Obalı added as follows: “We aim to increase customer satisfaction by offering practical solutions via a new feature that displays up-to-date fund accumulation and fund distribution change requests phase by phase. With the Mobile Branch, participants can login to the internet branch whenever and wherever they want, monitor their account activities and fund performances, and do the changes they want easily and swiftly.
Individuals that are not participants of Vakıf Emeklilik are able to calculate their estimated accumulations until their retirement by selecting their ages, contribution payments, total payment amount and pension plans from the potential accumulation table. Users can also display the estimated annual payments they need to make for the amount of compensation they expect to receive in case of death, disability and sickness within the scope of other products of Vakıf Emeklilik, in other words, annual life and personal product policies.”

 

Voice command, fund bulleting monitoring and app to app features are coming soon

 

Announcing the good news that the new features of Mobile Branch will not be limited to these recent additions, general manager Özgür Obalı summarized the future additions as follows: “Voice command will be one of the new features. Users will be able to reach many details in the mobile branch such as total accumulations and fund distribution via voice commends over Siri, and be informed about the latest developments in markets. We will also make it easier to switch from VakıfBank application to VakıfEmeklilik application. Thanks to app to app feature, which will be a first in the market, users will be able to reach our Mobile Branch by clicking a single button on our main shareholder VakıfBank’s application.”

 

4 projects have progressed with the foundation of R&D Center

 

During the press conference, Obalı also shared the details about the R&D Center which was founded in accordance with Vakıf Emeklilik’s strategy of technology and digitalization. He told the press that they have made progress in 4 different projects, even though it had only been 6 months after the opening of their R&D Center. “Just like our Mobile Branch, our R&D Center is a first in our market. At our R&D Center, we aim to contribute to the development of our country and raising competent human resources in new technology by using new technologies that pioneer the digitalization of Turkey. Vakıf Emeklilik R&D Center develops innovative projects in many fields such as Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, Blockchain and Internet of Things. For our project that was approved within the scope of TEYDEP (TUBITAK Technology and Innovation Grant Programs), we are cooperating with academicians from the pioneer universities of Turkey. Our primary targets by finalizing our R&D projects are to expand the pension market of our country, and increase customer satisfaction and security,” he said.

 

“We attach importance to cooperation with Start-Ups”


Stating that they believed Vakıf Emeklilik’s idea of digital transformation would make a contribution to the transformation of the market, Özgür Obalı added: “The main idea that we have focused on is the fact that digitalization steps we take in our own market will make a contribution to the development of local and national technologies of our country.” Saying that all individuals and companies should be a part of the digitalization process in order to build the future of Turkey, Obalı said: “Without a doubt, young people are the most important ring in this process. We are all aware that a digital ecosystem that does not include them will not survive. We think from the perspective of young people and attach great importance to their ideas in all ranks at Vakıf Emeklilik. Therefore, in addition to our R&D Center projects, we conduct projects with Start-ups; and try to adopt those projects to our market.”
