Technological investments are the priority for the insurance of the future

Uğur Gülen, General Manager of Aksigorta, gave a speech during the panel of “Artificial Intelligence Going beyond Trend Reports” which took place within the scope of Digital Age Summit 2018. He stated that nearly all institutions used artificial intelligence in their business processes with an ever-expanding area of use. According to Gülen, its impact increases with each passing day, as it evolves and transforms into excellence.

“Our country is eager; we should increase our investments”

Saying that artificial intelligence is one of the most embraced applications among other trend technologies in Turkey, Gülen said: “Aksigorta cooperates with entrepreneurs working in this area on several topics. As a country, we are eager for artificial intelligence, and we should increase our investments. We need to give bigger support to the development of local technologies so that we can realize this big potential. In the past, institutions were faster to adapt to technologies compared to individuals; however, in today’s world, individuals have outpaced the institutions. As a result, customers are willing to benefit from applications using state-of-the-art technologies, to have the best customer experience available. That is why we are building the future of insurance market by using the power of technology. We are offering a simple, easy and accessible insurance experience to our customers with our products and services.”

The first artificially intelligent assistant of insurance market: ADA (Aksigorta Digital Assistant)

Uğur Gülen said that Aksigorta accelerated and prioritized its technological investments for the future of insurance. “We have lost no time in examining the artificial intelligence technologies around the world and examples in Turkey, and determined the best areas of use for Aksigorta. Accordingly, we have once again pioneered Turkish insurance market and launched ADA, the first artificially intelligent digital assistant of the market. ADA parses 400.000 documents related to claims and matches them with claim files. ADA will also respond to approximately 200.000 requests received from 2.500 agents across Turkey; which will reduce our response time from 2 hours down to 2 minutes. In addition to ADA, our robotic transformation project called “Robotic Process Automation”, which went live in the beginning of 2017, is a good example for our efforts in this field. Since we started using that application, we have produced 196 million TL in premiums and conducted 350 thousand transactions.”
