Türk Nippon Sigorta’s motto is ‘Training’

 
 

Dr. E. Baturalp Pamukçu, General Manager of Türk Nippon Sigorta, stated that ‘lifelong learning’ concept had a significant role in their corporate culture, and added: “We work to make sure that Türk Nippon Sigorta employees embrace the concept of non-stop continuity of education. We provide them with constant support through technical and personal trainings.”

 

Dr. E. Baturalp Pamukçu, General Manager of Türk Nippon Sigorta, stated that qualified workforce is of vital importance in increasing the competitive power of Turkish insurance market. Underlining that Türk Nippon Sigorta places great emphasis on personal development of its employees in that regard, Pamukçu added as follows: “Our synergy and activity have increased considerably with the increase in the number of new employees from the Y generation in recent years. Today, 59 percent of our employees are Y generation. In order to make sure that this generation and young talents to prefer to work for your company, you need to create a difference. We believe that we create the difference by attaching extra importance to the self-improvement of our employees and providing them with constant support in this area.” 

 

Stating that they offer their employees lots of opportunities for both technical and personal development, Pamukçu said: “Türk Nippon Sigorta works to make sure that our employees embrace the concept of lifelong learning. This is a significant element of our corporate culture. In addition, we always prioritize employee satisfaction and loyalty when we establish or renew our internal processes. We listen to all of our employees and receive their feedbacks. We find it extra important to hear about the opinions of our young employees especially for new projects.

Saying that Türk Nippon Sigorta creates its policies in accordance with employee requirements and has an HR structure that supports development and plans for strategies that prioritize employee motivation, DR. E. Baturalp Pamukçu adds: “We take all our steps by paying attention to the thoughts and feedbacks of our employees. Every feedback we receive from our employees is of utmost value and importee. Therefore, we can define our HR structure as ‘Employee-Oriented’. This structure is not limited to our existing employees; we regard all candidates who are in the process of employment as potential employees. That’s why we make a significant effort to conduct our entire employment process as transparent and open as possible. We always inform our candidates about the process. We aim to be innovative in every project and strategy we design and conduct.”

 

Pamukçu added that they developed an innovative system to measure performance inside the company an shared the following information about the system: “Each employee of Türk Nippon Sigorta is evaluated over company targets, individual targets and four main competences of our company. With this performance system, our employees can measure and monitor their own performance as well. Therefore, everyone can evaluate their own performance and keep track of the progress of their targets efficiently.”

Underlining that ensuring and maintaining employee motivation is significant for Türk Nippon Sigorta, Pamukçu adds as follows: “Insurance market is a target and ales oriented market. While working towards our targets within the year, we also try to increase the development and motivation of our employees at the same time. That is why we constantly support our employees through trainings; and we founded TNS Academy with the aim of consolidating all internal and external training activities under a single roof.”
 

TNS Academy aims to conduct different projects

Founded with the aim of consolidating all internal and external training requirements under a single roof, TNS Academy provides several trainings on technical/occupational knowledge and skills, personal and administrative development, and foreign languages.

 

Caring for personal and occupational development areas of its employees, HR Department of Türk Nippon Sigorta is attentive to provide trainings from companies/trainers that are highly interactive, fueled by feedbacks, and adopt constant learning as principle.


TNS Academy successfully launched 2019 training programs with “Training for Trainers” in February for unit managers who will train the employees within the company. TNS Academy aims to continue projects and programs to support employees in the coming months.
