AvivaSA is the first company to raise the total size of its pension funds above 20 billion TL

AvivaSA is the first company to exceed 20 billion TL in the total size of its pension (BES) funds. A statement by the company underlined the importance of individual saving tools such as BES and OKS in decreasing the savings deficit of our country.

With their distinctive and pioneer products and services, AvivaSA has been the first company to exceed 20 billion TL in terms of the size of total pension funds, including the auto-enrollment and state subsidy funds.

Fırat Kuruca, CEO of AvivaSa, said: “This achievement in fund size is really exhilarating for our company. Today, overall fund size of our market where 18 companies operate, has exceeded 109 billion TL. However, compared to OECD countries, the size of our pension funds are way behind; in terms of both county and saving tool rankings. This shows us that, as a market, we have a long way ahead of us. Both voluntary individual pension system (BES) and auto-enrollment system (OKS) have the ability to decrease individual and collective savings deficit, and create sufficient resources for financing the growth of our country. They also have great significance in financing the investments of public and private sectors, while supporting the deepening and growth of money markets. Similar systems have been and are still being implemented all around the world to ensure better living standards for individuals during their retirements.”

Kuruca added that their targets for 2019 included preserving their leadership in BES fund size which was continuing since 2015, and number one position in OKS among private companies which was continuing since the middle of 2018. He added that they also aimed to increase their market share in life insurance.
