AXA Sigorta transported emergency supplies and aid to the İzmir in coordination with local authorities, and simultaneously created the infrastructure to compensate insured losses through mobile teams.  AXA Sigorta employees initiated a new campaign for the earthquake zone.

Following the earthquake that hit İzmir - Seferihisar coast last Friday, AXA Sigorta immediately started working towards helping authorities heal the wounds much faster in the region. The company transported emergency supplies such as blankets, hygiene sets, tents, floor covering and mobile toilets to Bayraklı, which was one of the regions hit most intensely by the earthquake. The company rapidly moved for the compensation of insured losses and started working in the region through its management team and mobile claims assessment units. They have been contacting each of their customers in the region to find out whether their properties were damaged; and two expertise offices have solely focused on serving AXA Sigorta clients in İzmir. Furthermore, AXA Sigorta call center is responding to customer requirements 24/7, as always. And AXA’s volunteer employees who are members of AXA In All Hearths Group initiated a new aid campaign to supply other items needed by the victims in İzmir.

AXA Sigorta’s CEO, Yavuz Ölken, rapidly went to the region together with AXA’s managers responsible from the Aegean Region. “Our country has faced the earthquake disaster once again, we are deeply sorry. May God rest the souls of our citizens lost their lives in this disaster. We extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to their families and loved ones, and wish the wounded a quick recovery. We will heal this wound in solidarity, wishing to never suffer from any similar events again. The support provided from everyone and every organization to the best of their abilities proves how we can become a tight-knit community and act in solidarity during difficult times. Representatives and employees of our public institutions and non-governmental organizations continue to work tirelessly and with great devotion. We need to take important lessons from this sorrow, remembering the previous earthquakes we have suffered from and with the awareness that our country is located on seismic belts. I am confident that as insurance companies, we will carry out joint projects with DASK, and contribute to increasing the number of insured people, relieving the burden on public authorities, and improving this area further.  In this respect, AXA Sigorta family will continue to support our citizens and public institutions, just as we did in the recent Elazığ earthquake.”
