                                                                What is it? A restaurant offering live music program

                                                                Why should I go? For its seafood-heavy menu

                                                                From time to time, we have been witnessing the rise of an-
                                                                other neighborhood with new venue openings. Fonduralı is a
                                                                two-story restaurant which has recently opened its doors in
                                                                Yeniköy, the current dynamic neighborhood of the gastrono-
                                                                my world. The restaurant was opened in partnership by two of
                                                                the experienced names from the nightlife of İstanbul, namely
                                                                Volkan Ercan and İlyas Güngör. You might have already seen
                                                                it in the Instagram stories of famous people. They offer live
                                                                Turkish music performances every night except for Tuesdays
                                                                on the second floor. The bar located just beside the customers
                                                                on the second floor suddenly starts to turn and transforms
                                                                into a stage. This floor also has a terrace which will become
                                                                much more attractive during summer months. The huge mer-
                                                                maid relief sculpture on the wall is the most striking feature
                                                                of the restaurant, which is largely decorated in brown colors.
                                                                The open kitchen downstairs prepares dishes that are mostly
                                                                made of fresh seasonal seafood.

       Several  exciting  restaurants  were  opened  in  İstanbul  in  re-
       cent months. İsmet Saz, Chief and founding partner of TOI
       Kuruçeşme, also opened another restaurant named Steeve at
       Kanyon. Almost everything served at the restaurant is home-
       made, ingredients are local but menu consists of dishes from
       different cuisines. French onion soup with gruyere cheese from
       Kars, chili con carne which is served with home-made tortil-
       la bread and thin bread with kokoreç might become your fa-
       vorites.
