Alfredo Muñoz, who was working as the Chief Operation Officer at MAPFRE GENEL SİGORTA since October 2015, took over the duties of Serdar Gül as CEO, following his retirement previous month. Before his assignment in Turkey, Alfredo Muñoz worked as the President and CEO of MAPFRE Middlesea, MAPFRE’s insurance operations in Malta, and carried the company to leadership position in the local market.

 

Having served at various management positions within MAPFRE family since 1998, studied law and business administration at ICADE (Universidad Pontificia Comillas) and graduated from the MBA program of CEF Centro de Estudios Financieros later on. 

 

Continuing its operations in Turkey since 2007 with the acquisition of Genel Sigorta, MAPFRE has managed to increase its turnover in Turkey by 266 percent in the last 5 years, and aims to grow furher and increase its efficiency in the market for the coming years.
