Allianz Insurance Group provided support for civil society all around the world and set a new world record with the Allianz World Run, an activity that began in May and lasted until the end of July. 

Organized on the occasion of the beginning of a cooperation between Allianz and SOS Children’s Villages community, Allianz World Run was attended by over 12 thousand Allianz employees around the world. Employees ran a total distance of 1.4 million kilometers and completed 34 tours around the world; and collected 600 thousand EUR for children’s village projects in 12 countries including Argentina, Austria, China, Columbia, Croatia, Germany, Indonesia, Ivory Coast, Luxembourg, Mexico, Syria and Thailand.  

Records broken with the longest distance and the longest line of photographs 

The Group set a new world record in connection with the Allianz World Run: "Longest distance covered by one team in 90 days". Allianz World Run pictures from across the globe were also used to break the Guinness World RecordsTM for the "longest line of photographs."  

Global and local support from Allianz Turkey  

Over 70 employees from Allianz Turkey contributed to the world record and supported SOS Children’s Villages; and also collected donations for selected non-governmental organizations from Turkey, including Mother Child Education Foundation (AÇEV), Bolluca Children’s Village, Bugday Ecological Living Association, Hope Foundation for Children with Cancer (KAÇUV), Spinal Cord Paralytics Association of Turkey (TOFD), and the TEMA Foundation (The Turkish Foundation for Combating Soil Erosion, for Reforestation and the Protection of Natural Habitats). 

10 thousand TL donated to NGOs in Turkey 

The run in Turkey was organized on 30 July at Belgrad Forest, Neşetsuyu Park and was attended by Taylan Türkölmez, General Manager of Allianz Turkey Life and Pension Companies; Ahmet Turul, Board Member at; İlkay Özel, Assistant General Manager of Human Resources; Ersin Pak, Assistant General Manager of Financial Affairs; Bülent Eriş, Assistant General Manager of Marketing; and Şebnem Karaduman, Assistant General Manager of Legal Affairs. Following the event, 10 thousand TL were donated to NGOs in Turkey.
