Türk Nippon Sigorta is ‘young’ but experienced
 
 

Dr. E. Baturalp Pamukçu, General Manager of Türk Nippon Sigorta, shared his assessment on the Human Resources (HR) practices around the world and at Türk Nippon Sigorta. Stating that HR has gone through a significant transformation over the last 1o years, Baturalp Pamukçu said: “10 years ago, agenda of Human Resources consisted of personnel affairs and legal processes; however today, all HR professionals focus on matters such as talent management, motivation, and employee satisfaction.”

 

Underlining that the position of HR departments in companies has changed accordingly, Baturalp Pamukçu added that today’s HR departments turned into innovative and strategic departments that have a good command of the business processes of companies. Pamukçu pointed at the presence of a younger generation in companies for the last 10 years and advancement of technology as the reason for this transformation, and said: “Job interviews used to be more official and had outmoded formats; however nowadays they can be conducted over Skype, teleconference or videoconference in more modernized ways. Innovation, modernization and digitalization forced by the younger generation on the whole world began to be reflected on nearly all HR policies. Older HR software was also replaced by new web-based applications and programs.”
