AvivaSA celebrates its 10th anniversary
 
 

Within the scope of its 10th year celebrations, AvivaSa held a press conference with a broad participation. During the conference, the company evaluated its 10 years and shared its projections for the future. Haluk Dinçer, President of Insurance Group at Sabancı Holding, said: “We keep maintaining our leadership position in terms of pension fund size, uninterruptedly since 2015.” Reminding that insurance market is a strategic growth area for Sabancı Holding, he added: “Turkey is a strong market with high growth potential and is named as a ‘star’ market by Aviva. Pension market is expected to reach a size that exceeds 400 billion TL in 2023, while Auto-Enrollment is estimated to create a savings volume of 90 billion USD in 10 years. Auto-Enrollment will develop further with new regulations. However, I would like to express that penetration of pension funds in Turkey is still significantly lower than OECD average. Total fund size of the system accounted for only 2.4 percent of Turkey’s GNP as of 2015 year-end. Turkey is listed 32nd among OECD countries based on the size of its fund volume compared to GDP. We must express that BES is the most efficient savings tool in a much better way, especially for our low and medium-income citizens. I hereby proudly underline that the guarantee provided by Sabancı Holding and our British partner Aviva’s long years of Auto-Enrollment experience make us much stronger.”

 

Looking at the last 10 years in Turkey and rest of the world, ‘Tomorrow is good now’

Fırat Kuruca, CEO of AvivaSa, emphasized that they have extended the 10th year celebrations to continue throughout the year. He said: “In August, we started a digital communication initiative with the aim of reminding the achievements of last 10 years both in our country and in the rest of the world, in fields which are important for everyone such as digitalization, music, cinema and sports. We believe that people will feel better today and look at the future with hope by remembering things that have made them feel good for the last 10 years. Our new brand-positioning motto ‘Tomorrow is good now’ is related with this fact. Our videos including interviews with valuable names in those 4 fields have been broadcast in TV and all our social media accounts, and they all attracted a great deal of attention.”

 

Emphasizing that the company has had a very successful 10 years, Fırat Kuruca added: “We have tripled the number of our customers during our journey of 10 years. We have increased our fund size by 13 times and our brand recognition has reached 73 percent. Moreover, we keep maintaining our leadership position in terms of pension fund size, uninterruptedly since 2015.”
