Award ceremony of the 3rd “Piggy Bank Design Painting Competition” organized by Vakıf Emeklilik was held at Güneş Sigorta Art Gallery Exhibition Hall, and awards were distributed to the winners. 4 thousand 300 primary school students between the ages of 7 and 10 attended the competition; and 5 winning competitors received their rewards from Vakıf Emeklilik’s General Manager Özgür Obalı.

Özgür Obalı stated during his speech in the ceremony that they embraced the concept of saving as a social responsibility, and said: “Everything we do is based on accumulation, in other words saving. Because we believe that current account deficit is one of Turkey’s most important problems. Therefore, we have prioritized increasing the awareness about savings in all of our projects. That is what we try to do in all our endeavors, as we think that awareness about the importance of saving is essential for individuals and a healthy national economy.”

The competition received participation from all around Turkey. The winner was Ada Durmaz from Samsun Bahçeşehir College, who won a bicycle. Kayra Kanalıcı from İstanbul Private Güngören Mektebim Primary School was the first runner-up, Arda Arabacı from Çanakkale Vali Fahrettin Akkutlu Primary School was the second-runner up. Yunus Emre Şen from Trabzon Dumlupınar Primary School ranked fourth and Ege Berk Güngör from Adana Private Mektebim Çukurova Bilfen Primary School ranked fifth. They each won a scooter and received their awards during the ceremony.
