Sponsored by HDI Sigorta, İstanbul İstinye Rotary Club has organized a ski camp to gather 20 visually impaired teenagers from Six Dots Foundation for the Blinds.
Thanks to the event that was organized for the 15th time this year, visually impaired teenagers set their feet on the ski track. During the three-day ski camp at Uludağ Beceren Hotel, visually impaired teenagers were trained by volunteer teachers and skied for the first time in their lives. They skied on their own in short distances, and described their experience as “the taste of freedom”. They enjoyed overcoming the obstacles through skiing during the organization.
At the end of the organization, visually impaired teenagers who attended the training received their certificates with a ceremony.
