Health Week, an annual organization for all MAPFRE countries around the world, was celebrated with dozens of events this year. MAPFRE Sigorta celebrated this year’s health week between 7 and 12 May with the employees in its headquarters as well as regional management offices, embracing the motto of ‘Health First’ with workshops, seminars and several medical screenings.
Within the scope of Health Week events held in the headquarters, dietitian Ezgi Mumcu performed body fat index analyses for employees on May 8. Sibel Güngö, an author known for her works titled “Bebeğimin Beslenme Kitabı” and “Neşeli Tabaklar” held a workshop focusing on subjects such as “How to prepare healthy and fun dishes for children? What are the healthy nutrition alternatives for adults?” On May 9, Ebru Şinik, Holistic Health and Ayurvedic Life consultant, made a presentation on “Working your Physical and Mental Detox Mechanisms through Breathing Techniques”. During the presentation, she explained the ways to relax through various breathing techniques and the benefits of proper breathing methods. A seminar by Assoc. Prof. Emre Çenesiz titled ‘When should parents worry about fever?” provided vital information to employees about pediatrics.
In parallel with Health Week activities organized at the headquarters of MAPFRE Sigorta; various medical screenings, blood and stemcell donations, as well as various workshops and trainings on stress management, healthy nutrition and weight control were organized at regional management offices. Within the scope of Global Health Week, medical screenings were conducted for 350 MAPFRE Sigorta employees.
