MetLife Emeklilik ve Hayat continues to add value to the lives of its employees with the Lean In program

Lean In program, which was initiated to support female employees in 2017 within the scope of MetLife Emeklilik’s strategy of supporting participation and diversity in the office, continues its activities with great interest and participation from female employees. The program aims to reveal the hidden potential of female employees, therefore making positive reflections on their private and professional lives.

Number of female employees participating in the program increased from 19 in 2017 to 30 volunteer female employees working at different departments and positions in 2018. Within the scope of the opportunities presented by the program, 11 high-potential women were included in the in-house coaching program as counselees.

Seminars focusing on leadership, decision-making, balance between professional and private life, career & courage, and self-improvement were organized with the participation of experienced leaders within the company and guest speakers from PWN Istanbul (Professional Women’s’ Network), an organization of which MetLife Emeklilik ve Hayat is a corporate member.

Deniz Yurtseven, CEO of MetLife Emeklilik ve Hayat, commented on the Lean In program and stated as follows: “MetLife Emeklilik ve Hayat attaches great importance to the participation of women in business life. Today, 65 percent of our employees are women. Therefore, we continue to invest in the improvement of this precious human resource. We have been carrying out several successful projects in this field. Our studies were initiated with the foundation of our Female Employee Network as of 2013, and continue under the roof of “Diversity and Participation” program. Within the scope of our Lean In program, we implement many useful activities to enrich both professional and private lives of our female employees working at different lines of business. We are much happier to hear many positive feedbacks about the program, therefore we will continue our activities in the coming term.”
