Fundacion MAPFRE continues to support academic and professional researchers. The foundation organizes several grant programs in this respect, and has begun to accept applications for Ignacio Hernando de Larramendi Research Grant Program 2019.

315 thousand EUR to be granted in total for projects in the areas of Health Promotion, and Insurance and Social Protection

“Ignacio Hernando de Larramendi Research Grant Program”, which is organized to honor the first chairman of Fundacion MAPFRE, provides financial support for research projects in the areas of health promotion, and insurance and social protection. In ‘Health Promotion Area’, researches who work on the following topics will receive up to 30 thousand EUR per research and 240 thousand EUR in total: “Strategies for habit change: prevention of obesity and promotion of physical activity”, “Patient education”, “Physical injury assessment”, and “Health management: clinical quality and safety”. Researchers working in the ‘Insurance and Social Protection Area’ will receive up to 15 thousand EUR per research and 75 thousand EUR in total for projects focusing on “The challenges of the 21st century: Insurance and Social Protection”.

The deadline for registration and submitting the documents to apply for these grants, which sum up to 315 thousand USD in total, is 14 October, 2019.
