Since 2013, MetLife Turkey and Junior Achievement Turkey have been successfully carrying out the “MetLife Life Changer Project” which offers applied programs in individual finance, career development and entrepreneurship for high-school students in Turkey. Last year, scope of these training programs were extended to include primary and secondary school students. The project has so far reached 1070 students, and created awareness for financial literacy and career development through entertaining activities.
“Smart Money Management” program aims to teach students tips about consumption, spending and saving habits which they can easily adopt and implement in their daily lives. Within the scope of ‘This is My Job’ program, young people between 13 to 15 years old met with entrepreneurs to learn about entrepreneurship, while gaining stronger concentration for their reading and writing activities in social studies classes.

Fourth “Meet Up” project, which is conducted in cooperation with Junior Achievement Turkey with the aim of supporting high-school students in career planning, was organized in the first week of May 2019. 100 students from 10 high-schools who are at the earliest stages of their career planning processes were mentored by MetLife volunteers. In this respect, MetLife employees shared their experiences that can help students shape their future plans.
