Vakıf Emeklilik gets ready to welcome the future with technological advancements

 

 

Vakıf Emeklilik constantly improves its customer-oriented approach via new technological advancements. The company makes a great contribution to digitalization in insurance sector with applications and projects inspiring the market.


Vakıf Emeklilik runs its technology and digitalization processes from a central structure called Digital Transformation Department, which has been a first in the insurance market. With the aim of supporting its operational efficiency with the newest technological tools, Vakıf Emeklilik intends to increase the quality of its services for customers by consolidating its digitalization and sustainability strategies. Thanks to its digitalization efforts, Vakıf Emeklilik has already done an exemplary job in terms of sustainability by saving 2.4 million trees from being cut down annually.  


Cenk Torgalöz, Assistant General Manager at Vakıf Emeklilik, shared details about their digitalization efforts; and stated that they had been carrying out various projects to diversify the services offered to customers and increase the operational efficiency of their company. “You have to handle technology and digitalization processes with utmost care in order to support customer experience in the most accurate way. Vakıf Emeklilik has determined a leading and innovative vision in customer experience and operational efficiency by supporting itself with technology; and has been the first company to incorporate a digital transformation department in the insurance market. As a result of this approach and our methodology of working, we are adapting our customer services quality to the requirements of this era by offering services to our customers on mobile and web platforms.”
We have made great savings with digital transformation projects

Stating that they have increased the quality of their customer services by digitalizing many of their services which had been provided through traditional means for a long time, Torgalgöz added as follows: “On an annual basis, we have saved 2.4 million trees from being cut down thanks to our projects of operational efficiency and sustainability, and managed to save 1600 days of time thanks to our accelerated processes. Moreover, we have minimized the errors that might occur due to manual processes.”


“One of our projects that accelerated our processes is in the life and personal accident insurance. As Vakıf Emeklilik, we monitor our systems on a daily basis without bringing additional burden on the shoulders of our customers, while supporting them and their loved ones during difficult times. In case of the death of a customer, our digital infrastructure that works integrated with the official resources of our state is updated regularly on a daily basis. This way, we can initiate our payment processes instantly by accelerating the normally long compensation payment durations and without putting an additional burden on the shoulders of our customers’ lawful heirs.” 


Renewed Mobile Branch will simplify the lives of our participants
Being a company that offers annual life insurance, personal accident and individual pension products via mobile branch, Vakıf Emeklilik has re-developed its mobile application in accordance with the customer expectations. The company had launched its mobile application in 2014 with the aim of utilizing the innovative solutions offered by the digital world in the most accurate way.


Cenk Torgalöz also gave information about their new Mobile Branch and said:
“We are getting ready to welcome the future with our renewed Mobile Branch, our existing software and robot employees that now have a new place in our lives. Thanks to fingerprint and Face ID features added to Vakıf Emeklilik Mobile Application that will make life easier for participants, we have optimized the safety measures for customer identity. This way, it is now possible to authenticate and change the mobile numbers of mobile branch users. Password reset features were also added in the new application, which will allow our customers to activate their mobile branch without needing to call our contact center.”
R&D Center is the first of its kind in the market

Vakıf Emeklilik established an onsite R&D center as another first in the insurance and pension market. “Vakıf Emeklilik R&D Center began its operations as of February 2019 with a team of 22 people. They are developing innovative projects using new technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, and blockchain. Our main target is to make a contribution to the development of our market, and particularly our company, by using all the technological infrastructure of this era at our R&D Center.” said Cenk Torgalöz.
