Unico Sigorta A.Ş. announced that Ahmet Özer Özcan, who worked as the Deputy General Manager since 17 January 2019, left his position as of 10 December 2019; and that Burak Topçak, former Chief Operating Officer, was appointed as the new Deputy General Manager.
The statement by Unico Sigorta is as follows:

“Ahmet Özer Özcan, who had been working at Unico Sigorta as the Chief Financial Officer since 2015, was appointed as the Deputy General Manager on 17 January 2019. As of 10 December 2019, he resigned from his duty, to be taken over by Burak Topçak, who had been working in our company as the Assistant General Manager of Operations since 2015. Burak Topçak will work as Acting General Manager until a General Manager is appointed for Unico Sigorta. As the experienced brand of the insurance market, Unico Sigorta is ready to take bigger steps with its years of know-how, experience and robust main shareholder SBK Holding.”  

Who is Burak Topçak?
Burak Topçak completed his university education at İstanbul Technical University, Department of Mathematical Engineering. He later received an MBA degree from Yeditepe University, and a Master’s Degree in Actuarial Sciences from London City University Cass Business School.

He began his career at Mapfre Genel Sigorta, where he worked for 6 years; and later transferred to AIG as Retail Insurance Pricing and Portfolio Analyst, where he was appointed as Retail Insurance Dubai Regional Actuary later on. Topçak continued his career at Genworht Financial as the Eastern European Risk Pricing Actuarial Manager.

From 2012 to 2015, Burak Topçak worked as the Group Manager of Retail Insurance UW Product and Pricing at Aviva Sigorta. In February 2015, he was appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Unico Sigorta.
