A new product from Anadolu Sigorta for a sustainable and eco-friendly world

Within the scope of their sustainability projects, Anadolu Sigorta has prepared a special insurance policy for rooftop type solar energy systems which are getting more and more every day. Intended to address the requirements for solar panels that are used individually, the policy includes special coverage types and services. The product provides insurance for solar panels that produce electrical energy against risks falling under the scope of electronic tools, and is now offered through all sales channels of the company.

Levent Sönmez, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Anadolu Sigorta, underlined that renewable and eco-friendly energy sources have become more popular due to Turkey’s increasing energy demand and traditional high-cost energy sources. “Efficient management of renewable energy sources is one of the most important factors in order to leave a healthier and more sustainable world for future generations. Since its foundation, our company has adopted the policy of being respectful to environment, and leaving a habitable world for future generations by supporting economic and social development; and is committed to this target through our ‘Sustainability Policy’. We keep offering new products that comply with this target. In parallel with the increasing costs, awareness for sustainability has increased; which reflects in an increased interest towards rooftop type solar panels among individual users. In this respect, we have launched the “Individual Rooftop Type Solar Panel Insurance”. Our product offers coverage for individual rooftop type solar panels that were built on the rooftops of houses to supply electricity and produce 10 kw or lower electrical energy through solar power against many risks such as electronic equipments and earthquakes,” he said.
