Türkiye Sigorta maintained its leadership position in the first quarter

 
 

Türkiye Sigorta consolidated its leadership position in the sector with a market share of 15.21%and premium production of 3.3 billion TL in terms of premium production in the first quarter. On the other hand, Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik maintained its leadership position in BES 3.0 with a 1 million 980 thousand 523 participants and fund size of 29.9 billion TL including state subsidy; and in Automated Participation, 2 billion 260 thousand 476 employees and find the size of 7 billion TL including state subsidy. 

 

Türkiye Sigorta reached 12.2 billion TL in terms of size of assets y an increase of 14% within the first three months of 2021, while its net income of the period reached 329 million TL with an increase of 3% compared to previous years.   Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik completed the first quarter with a net income of the period of 407 million TL bu producing 908 million TL premium. 
Atilla Benli, Türkiye Sigorta, and Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik General Manager and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors, evaluated production and financial results of the first quarter of 2021 and said “We succeeded in sustaining our stable growth and leadership position in the sector with our solutions which make the life easier for our customers and our successful works in digital channels. I would like to thank our colleagues, our agencies and other shareholders for these successful business results obtained in both companies.  I believe that the leadership of our both companies will continue in other periods of the year by getting stronger.” 

 

We consolidated our leadership with a premium production of 3.3 billion TL


Atilla Benli underlined that Türkiye Sigorta consolidated its leadership position in the sector with a market share of 15.21% and premium production of 3.3 billion TL in terms of premium production in the first quarter and said “We are happy with the production rates of our company in general loss, fire and natural disaster, and health insurance branches. We are proud to be the leader in the sector by far with a production of over 1 billion 481 TL and a market share of nearly 41% in the first quarter in terms of a general loss. In the fire and natural disaster branch, we produced a 503 million TL premium with a growth of 26% when compared to the same period of the previous year, and consolidated our leadership with a market share of 15.8%. In the health insurance branch which became popular due to pandemic, we continue to increase our market share constantly with growth by 42% and premium production of 175.5 million TL when compared to the same period of the previous year.”  

 

In BES (Individual Pension System) and OKS (Auto-Enrollment System), Fund size is approximately 37 billion TL  

 

Atilla Benli underlined that Türkiye Hayat Emeklilik sustained its leadership position with 1 million 980 thousand 523 participants and fund size of 29.9 billion TL including state subsidy in BES 3.0, and Auto-Enrollment, with 2 million 260 thousand 476 employees and fund size of 7 billion TL including state subsidy, and said “We have approximately 4 million 250 thousand participants and a fund size of approximately 37 billion TL in total in BES and OKS. We believe that these figures will increase when underages are included in Individual Pension System (BES), special coverages such as health, life, education insurance are provided as an integrated insurance package with charming opportunities in BES, when it is allowed to transfer the savings within non-BES institutions such as fund, a foundation providing pension service to BES until the end of 2023.”
