HDI International Management Met with HDI Sigorta Senior Management in Istanbul for the First Board Meeting of 2026
HDI Sigorta senior management hosted the HDI International Board Members in Istanbul for the first board meeting of 2026.
At the meeting, the 2025 activities of HDI International and its subsidiaries were evaluated. HDI Sigorta stood out in 2025 with its strong performance in both motor and non-motor lines and achieved its top-10 target in the “Health” line. Focusing on five areas in 2026—Motor Own Damage (Kasko), Home (Konut), Altın KOBİ (Gold SME), Complementary Health Insurance (TSS), and Private Health Insurance (ÖSS)—HDI Sigorta aims to increase its market share through an end-to-end product strategy.
Operating under HDI International AG, part of the Talanx AG Group with a long-standing history in the insurance sector, HDI Sigorta held its first Board of Directors Meeting of 2026 at its headquarters in Istanbul. The meeting, attended by HDI Sigorta Chairman of the Board Dr. Wilm Langenbach, Vice Chairman of the Board Firuzan İşcan, and Board Members Oliver Schmid, Christian Sebastian Müller, and F. Burcu Çakıcı, reviewed the results for 2025 and discussed strategic priorities and growth targets for 2026.
In 2025, HDI Sigorta strengthened its portfolio balance while maintaining its focus on profitability. The strong performance in non-motor lines supported the company’s sustainable growth strategy and helped it retain its position among the top five in production rankings excluding health. Customer-centric ways of working and improvements in digital sales and quotation processes also contributed positively to performance. With HDI Plus, a 40% increase was achieved in the number of motor own damage (kasko) quotations.
“We are ready to continue investing in Türkiye”
Chairman of the Board Dr. Wilm Langenbach emphasized that Talanx Group and HDI International attach great importance to Türkiye and stated:
“As part of HDI International, we continued our successful journey in 2025. In 2026, Türkiye will continue to play an important role in our future success. Approximately half of our portfolio is in Europe and the other half in Latin America. Türkiye represents around a 10% share within the European region, and we are ready to continue investing in Türkiye by maintaining our focus on growth in this market.”
“We will have five main focus areas in 2026”
Vice Chairman of the Board of HDI Sigorta Firuzan İşcan commented on the meeting as follows: “In 2025, we achieved the results of our balanced and disciplined growth approach. In 2026, we will have five main focus areas: Motor Own Damage (Kasko), Home (Konut), Altın KOBİ (Gold SME), Complementary Health Insurance (TSS), and Private Health Insurance (ÖSS). By completing our end-to-end product strategy in these areas, we aim to increase both our market share and profitability. In the motor own damage line, we aim to achieve strong and profitable growth again, particularly in the passenger car and light commercial vehicle segments. In Home and Altın KOBİ products, we will increase agency penetration through unit-based growth. While maintaining the momentum we have achieved in Complementary Health Insurance (TSS) and Private Health Insurance (ÖSS), we will preserve our leading position in the marine cargo line. Our goal is to make a sustainable, technically strong, and balanced growth structure permanent.”
