September 29 – 4th International Insurance Summit and Smart-i Awards

The week kicked off with the 4th International Insurance Summit hosted by the Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB). The two-day summit focused on the themes of digitalization in the insurance sector and adaptation to the future. During the summit, Maher Holding Insurance Group President and TSB Vice President Ahmet Yaşar emphasized the Turkish insurance sector’s growth potential and international vision in his evaluations.

On the same day, the 4th Smart-i Awards 2025 Ceremony was held at Swissôtel, honoring the industry’s most innovative projects. In his opening speech at the ceremony, Ahmet Yaşar stated:

“The insurance sector is no longer just a structure that provides protection against risks; it is now transforming into an ecosystem that builds the future, guides society, and creates value through innovative solutions. The Smart-i Awards contribute significantly to this ecosystem by promoting innovation.”

At the ceremony, Quick Sigorta won the Gold Award in the “Team of the Year” category with its mobile experience journey carried out through QTruck, QKaravan, and Quick Routes under the name “QTeam.” QTeam stands out not only as a field team but also as a living symbol of the “communication on the move” strategy.  Taking the stage with his team during the award ceremony, Ahmet Yaşar described QTeam as follows: “A bridge that, with its tireless energy, connects with policyholders in the insurance sector and meets with local communities.”

Before delivering his speech in the “Star of the Stage” segment, Quick Sigorta General Manager Eyüp Özsoy expressed his gratitude for the recognition of QTeam’s journey across Türkiye by the sector's public once again.

While presenting the 2030 vision of the Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB), he emphasized the following:

“Our vision is clear and straightforward: To place Türkiye’s insurance sector among the world’s top 10 markets. Our mission is to shift from claim-paying insurance to risk-preventing insurance. This transformation will not only benefit the sector but will also enhance the resilience of society as a whole.”

The conference continued with panels focused on the transformation of the insurance industry and new risk management strategies in global markets.

1 October – Women’s Summit and Plumbing Meeting

On the third day of Insurance Week, the 3rd Women’s Summit in the Insurance Sector was organized by KASİDER. The summit emphasized the contributions of women professionals to the insurance industry, as well as the importance of leadership and equal opportunity.

On the same day, representing a different sectoral engagement, Quick Sigorta participated in the 8th Ankara Plumbing Meeting with a booth. Held at Ankara Meyra Palace Hotel, the event focused on the energy and infrastructure sectors and highlighted the intersectoral connections of insurance.

That same day, the 4th Insurance Fair and Congress also opened its doors at WOW Istanbul Hotel.

1–3 October – Insurance Fair and Congress

The fair, which hosted more than 5,000 agents and visitors over three days, brought together all stakeholders of the insurance industry. The stands of Quick Sigorta, Quick Hayat Sigorta, and Corpus Sigorta attracted great interest, while the Quick Finans Group added further vibrancy to the event with its own stand.

During a panel held as part of the fair, Ahmet Yaşar stated:

“The main goal of Insurance Week is to increase insurance awareness. Today, we are here to remind thousands of participants that insurance is not merely a policy, but the foundation of a sustainable life. We have evaluated our sector’s 2030 vision and discussed how to elevate insurance to the level it truly deserves.

As stated in the Medium-Term Program (OVP), Türkiye’s economy aims to reach the 16th position globally. Our insurance sector must also reach similar levels. In this regard, the Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB) set a target of 50 billion dollars during the Search Conference held with all its stakeholders. Meanwhile, SEDDK President Davut Menteş raised this goal even higher in his opening speech at the Insurance Fair, expressing it as 150 billion dollars. We wholeheartedly believe that the Turkish insurance sector will achieve this goal. From the perspective of Türkiye’s financial system, we are already at a level that can even be considered ahead of Europe in terms of both our digital and technological infrastructure and our practical implementations. We have the infrastructure, human resources, experience, and products. The only thing we lack is insurance awareness. The main purpose of Insurance Week is to raise this awareness. I believe that through the events organized within the scope of the fair, if we can show people how vital a role insurance plays in the sustainability of their assets, we will easily achieve our goals. I extend my congratulations to all stakeholders on Insurance Week.”

Quick Sigorta General Manager Eyüp Özsoy emphasized the importance of transparency in claims and compensation processes: “In claims and compensation processes, we must be transparent to strengthen customer trust. Transparency comes through clear communication. When we inform customers about claim processes through digital notifications, online tracking systems, and other communication channels, their confidence in both the system and the process increases.”

On October 2, QTruck’s DJ performance brought vibrant energy to the fair, offering an enjoyable evening especially for agents and visitors.

Throughout the fair, the Quick Sigorta stand was visited by Deputy Minister of Trade Mahmut Gürcan, SEDDK President Davut Menteş, Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB) President Uğur Gülen, TSB Secretary General Özgür Obalı, as well as representatives from TÜSAF, SBD, SAB, TOBB-SAİK, and SEİK, along with agents from across Türkiye. The Quick Sigorta stand became one of the most visited areas of the fair.

October 3 – Children’s Event and Legal Meeting

On the final day of the fair, the Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB) organized the ME-NOVA Insurance of the Future: Children’s Event at Üsküdar Primary School. The event, which introduced children to the concept of insurance at an early age, offered hope for the future of the sector.

On the same day, Maher Holding Insurance Group held its 2nd Legal Meeting, where lawyers from across Türkiye discussed current legal developments and practices related to arbitration, mediation, and insurance disputes.

October 4 – Leadership in Türkiye’s Health Tourism Panel

At the panel titled “How Can Türkiye Become a Leader in Health Tourism?”, held at the Istanbul Foreign Trade Complex, Maher Holding Insurance Group President and Insurance Association of Türkiye (TSB) Vice President Ahmet Yaşar and SASDER Secretary General and TSB Health Committee President Elvan Atalay participated as speakers.

In his speech, Ahmet Yaşar emphasized the following: “The insurance sector not only secures risks but also forms the backbone of health tourism in terms of service quality, trust, and sustainability. Türkiye’s vision to become a leading country in health tourism and the preventive risk approach of our insurance sector complement each other.”

October 5 – Insurance Sector League Elite Match and Festive Closing

The week concluded with the Insurance Sector League Elite Match, where the unifying power of sports brought industry professionals together on the field.
