Equal Pay Certificate for Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik

Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik became the first pension and insurance company in Türkiye to qualify for the Equal Pay Certificate following an evaluation by the international Equal-Salary Foundation, based on its equal pay and equal opportunity practices for employees regardless of gender.

Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik has brought its equal pay for equal work and equal opportunity approach between female and male employees to international standards, and this achievement was certified with the Equal Pay Certificate awarded by the Switzerland-based, non-profit independent organization Equal-Salary Foundation. Within the scope of the certification process launched at the end of 2024, the company’s salary data were anonymized and analyzed in line with international audit standards. Statistical reviews, organizational seniority distributions, salary increase and promotion mechanisms, and management practices were evaluated in detail. The second phase of the process, which included on-site audits, management interviews, and employee interviews, was conducted by independent audit firms. Following the completion of the multi-stage audit process, it was confirmed that there is no gender-based pay gap among Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik employees.

Zeynep Dolgun, Deputy General Manager of Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, commented on the matter as follows: “At Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, we regard the principle of equal pay for equal work not as a preference but as a natural requirement of our corporate responsibility. One of our top priorities is to ensure that all employees have equal conditions in accessing opportunities. The Equal Pay Certificate signifies that our salary and career practices, which we have carried out transparently, fairly, and systematically for many years, have been validated against an international standard. For us, this document is not only a confirmation of our existing structure but also an indication of our commitment to consistently maintaining an inclusive and sustainable working culture. We will continue to view gender equality and equal opportunity as an integral part of our corporate culture and to take measurable and concrete steps in this area.”

At Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, the equal pay approach is regarded not merely as an element of human resources practices but as a fundamental component of its corporate governance framework. A high rate of unionization, appointment and job security provisions safeguarded by the Collective Bargaining Agreement, a structured wage policy, and a performance-based promotion system demonstrate that the company’s compensation structure is designed within a transparent and systematic framework. The committee structure at the Board of Directors level overseeing wage policies further indicates that this approach is embraced institutionally.

Shaped by a sustainability perspective, the company’s people management approach demonstrates a structure aligned with its position in the capital markets. As the first pension and insurance company listed on Borsa İstanbul and included in the BIST Sustainability Index, Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik positions equal opportunity not merely as an area of social responsibility but as a component of long-term corporate value creation.

As of the end of 2025, women make up 57% of the workforce, while the share of women in management has reached 49%. Female representation stands at 71% in sales teams and 33% in information technology. The return-to-work rate after maternity leave exceeding 94% stands out as a concrete indicator of practices that support career continuity. Policies such as parental rights, part-time working opportunities, and the protection of career rights ensure the continuity of an inclusive employment approach.

Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik also demonstrates its commitments to gender equality and equal opportunity on international platforms. As a signatory to the United Nations Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs), the company participates in the Target Gender Equality program conducted under the United Nations Global Compact, setting measurable targets for women’s representation in senior management and equal pay. Having become the first company in its sector to receive the KAGİDER Equal Opportunity Model Certificate (FEM) in 2024, it documents across various platforms that it has carried its equality approach from the policy level to the implementation level.
