Number of participants that entered the system with auto-enrollment reached 4 million 983 thousand

 

  

At the end of the third quarter of 2018, total number of participants in Individual Pension System reached 6 million 951 thousand, 4 million 983 thousand of which entered the system via auto-enrollment. During this quarter, total fund size of the system reached 12 billion 779 million USD, and fund size of auto-enrollment participants stood at 637 million 849 thousand USD.


According to the statistics announced by Pension Monitoring Center (EGM) as of 30.09.2018, total number of participants in BES increased by 1.6 percent and reached 6 million 951 thousand. At the end of the third quarter, number of participants who entered the system via auto-enrollment was reported as 4 million 983 thousand.


Total fund size of the system increased up to 12 billion 779 million USD at the end of 2018 Q3, while the fund size accumulated via auto-enrollment participants stood at 637 million 849 thousand USD.


Total amount of contributions paid by participants reached 9 million 610 thousand USD, and number of contracts up to 8 million 230 thousand. Total invested amount was 9 billion 463 million USD.

Garanti Emeklilik ve Hayat closed the third quarter as the market leader in terms of overall number of participants with 1 million 180 thousand people and a market share of 16.36 percent. Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik ranked second with 1 million 137 thousand participants and share of 16.36 percent, followed by AvivaSa Emeklilik ve Hayat with 858 thousand 744 participants and a share of 12.35 percent. 


In terms of number of participants who entered the system via auto-enrolment, Ziraat Hayat ve Emeklilik ranked number one with 919 thousand 179 participants and a share of 18.45 percent among all OKS participants. Halk Hayat ve Emeklilik ranked second with a share of 12.24 percent and 609 thousand 937 participants, followed by Vakıf Emeklilik ve Hayat as the third biggest auto-enrollment company with a share of 11.85 percent and 590 thousand 440 participants.


AvivaSA Emeklilik ve Hayat maintained its leadership position in the rankings by fund size with a share of 19.8 percent and a fund size of 2 billion 521 million USD. Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik ranked second with a share of 18.55 percent and a fund size of 2 billion 369 million USD, followed by Garanti Emeklilik with a share of 14.39 percent and a fund size of 1 billion 841 million USD.


In terms of fund size brought by auto-enrollment participants, Ziraat Hayat ve Emeklilik continued to rank number one with a share of 24.66 percent. Company’s total fund size stood at 158 million 399 thousand USD at the end of the third quarter, which was followed by Halk Hayat ve Emeklilik with an OKS fund size of 108 million 384 thousand USD, and Vakıf Emeklilik with 89 million 369 thousand USD.
