                                                                As you walk from Harbiye towards Nişantaşı, you will see
                                                                People of Coffee on your right side. With tables and chairs
                                                                lined up in front of the shop and a sweet flavor spreading
                                                                out from inside, it is impossible not to notice this place.
                                                                People of Coffee meticulously selects and roasts the cof-
                                                                fee  beans.  The  owners  clearly  have  a  strong  passion  for
                                                                coffee. Additional flavors such as strawberry mille-feuille
                                                                and croissants are also delicious to taste with your coffee.
                                                                Rosas  de  manzana,  a  dessert  prepared  with  caramelized
                                                                apples  inside  baked  mille-feuille  and  served  with  home-
                                                                made apricot jam, will definitely whet your appetite even
                                                                just by looking at it.

       This venue in Balat is known for its Kombutchas and was named
       after the ‘smelt’ fish, which is an endangered species. The own-
       ers decided to use this name to underline the danger faced by
       this species. Sinan Bakkaloğlu, manager and chef of Smelt &
       Co., studied at Johnson & Wales University and worked at the
       famous Noma Restaurant in Copenhagen. Of course, drinking
       kombucha is not the only thing you can do at Smelt & Co. The
       menu is prepared with seasonal flavors and every option is in-
       terpreted with the combination of traditional flavors and cre-
       ativity. For instance, grilled salmon which is served alongside
       mustard cream and warm cauliflower puree with savoy cabbage
       is a magnificent flavor to taste.
