                                                                Boél is a new restaurant in Nişantaşı which is located on
                                                                the former spot of L’Orient. Founded by Sarah Malouh and
                                                                Taner Akkuş, the restaurant has two floors with different
                                                                themes. Upstairs is a fine-dining restaurant, while down-
                                                                stairs hosts its guests during the day and changes charac-
                                                                ter after dark. The crucial characteristics of this restau-
                                                                rant is its chef, Ayhan Kaya. We are definitely amazed by
                                                                him. This is how the restaurants he used to work at explain
                                                                the secret of his success: His experiences at Bronz Res-
                                                                taurant, a French cuisine in Maçka, and Paper Moon, the
                                                                famous Italian restaurant in Etiler made him an expert on
                                                                the cuisines of those two countries. Boél’s kitchen is now
                                                                entrusted  to  his  skillful  hands.  His  expertise  is  revealed
                                                                with  his  use  of  spices.  He  does  not  change  the  taste  of
                                                                foods, but rather accentuate and amplify them. He values
                                                                your feedbacks comments on the food you taste. His cor-
                                                                dial conversations are rather rare, during which he lights
                                                                up while talking about his profession. You should definitely
                                                                try the burrata (69 TL) from the starters menu. It tastes
                                                                great and glides from your throat like a cream. The texture
                                                                of mussel soup (38 TL) is really successful, and includes
                                                                roasted garlic breadcrumbs. Carciofi mush (43 TL) which
                                                                is prepared from green artichoke hearts is among the sig-
                                                                nature dishes of the restaurant. One of the main courses,
                                                                beef  cheek  (85  TL)  is  cooked  with  vegetables  for  eight
                                                                hours and is served on roasted eggplant. It is extremely
                                                                soft and is finished without noticing. You can also taste
                                                                several types of pizza, pasta and risotto at Boél. When the
                                                                clock hits 23:00, they close the curtains and increase the
                                                                sound of music inside. Regardless of the day of the week,
                                                                the party starts.

       Those who frequently visit Emirgan definitely know about   İstanbul
       Meri Bakery. Meri has recently opened its second branch,
       which  is  also  in  Emirgan.  The  service  begins  at  8:00  in   34000
       the  morning.  Being  an  ideal  place  for  coffee  and  break-
       fast, the bakery offers a different lunch menu every day.
       They  also  have  delicious  desserts,  so  you  must  definitely
       try some of them after having your meal. On Sundays, they
       also organize workshops focusing on different crafts such
       as watercolor painting techniques, calligraphy, or origami
       for children. As an animal-friendly venue, you should note
       that Meri has a very peaceful backyard.
