our country
We have villages as beautiful as our cities with their cute little narrow streets,
small houses and local flavors. F you want to plan a weekend trip or think about
exploring new places, you can visit one of the following small villages…
Cumalıkızık / Bursa
Cumalıkazık is one of the first places where Ottomans settled in Şirince / İzmir
Bursa. It has carried the features of Ottoman architecture to this
day with over 200 houses it harbors. You see narrow streets and
beautiful houses beyond comparison located in every one of its
streets. In the corner of every street, you can see street vendors
selling souvenirs that will remind you of Cumalıkazık. Rather
than a village, this place looks like a small neighborhood; and is
famous for its village breakfasts.
Şirince / İzmir
Şirince is located in Selçuk, İzmir. It has an unprecedented beau-
ty with its stone houses that used to be homes. Most of those
homes have now been turned into boutique hotels or cafes. We
can say that it is among everyone’s favorites with its architectur-
