A Breath of Dede Korkut
Dates: 14 May 2020 ~ 14 May 2021
Location: Online Theatre
If you hear with the language of the heart, all the living beings,
plains, trees, rocks, and birds all speak. The smallest detail becomes
visible. Dawns and nights tell stories, if you hear.
Understanding the language of air, earth, sea, mountains, rocks,
human, is hearing the heart.
Dede Korkut is the book of most ancient narratives which conveys
the consciousness of the life from past to today.
Past, future and today become one; human, a part of it…
We have conveyed the feeling of existence from those days to today
with a breath of Dede Korkut. Note: Recommended for the audience older than 7 years old.

A poet as well as a photographer, Özkök closely followed the worlds
of art and literature and often communicated with his subjects be-
fore taking their portraits. Lifelong relationships with figures in
the exhibition – such as Nâzım Hikmet, Samuel Beckett and René
Char – enabled him to take their photos at different times and
record the changes in their faces as they journeyed through life.
