ISRAEL
As one of the important and strategic countries
of Middle East, Israel increases and improves
her technological production with each passing
day. While trying to build her economy on solid
foundations, the country also raises the share of
insurance sector in the economy.
Israel is a country in Western Asia, located on the southeastern shore of the
Mediterranean Sea and the northern shore of the Red Sea. The country has
land borders with Lebanon to the north, Syria to the northeast, Jordan on
the east, and Egypt to the southwest. The Palestinian territories neighbor
Israel’s western side, while Gaza Strip and Western Bank are located on the
eastern border of the country. Covering a small area of 21 thousand 937
thousand square kilometers, Israel has a coastal line of 273 kilometers long
and enjoys a temperate climate in general. On the other hand, southern and
eastern areas covered in deserts are dominated by very hot and dry weath-
er. Jerusalem is the capital of the country, but the center of economy and
technology is Tel Aviv. Urban population accounts for 92.6 percent of total
Israeli population. Israel has hosted a wide variety of civilizations through-
out history; however, its dominance over Jerusalem is a disputable topic
around the world, and has caused numerous wars in recent history. Despite
several peace treaties and efforts of different countries, the war between
Jordan and Israel is still ongoing.
Agricultural lands cover more than 23 percent of its land area, and share
