According to the data of the Pension Monitoring Center
(E.G.M.) dated 26.03.2021, the total number of partici-
pants in BES increased by 4 thousand 300 compared to the
same period of the previous year and reached 6 million 907
thousand at the end of the first quarter of 2021. In this
period, the number of participants who joined the system
through auto-enrollment (OKS) increased by 488 thousand
people compared to the same period of the previous year and
reached 6 million 651 thousand participants.

At the end of the first quarter of the year, the total fund size
in BES increased by 29.54 percent compared to the same
period of the previous year and reached 136 billion 204 mil-
lion TL, while the fund size of the participants in the system
with auto-enrollment increased by 35.47% and reached 11
billion 903 million TL in the same period.

At the end of the first quarter, the number of participants
who retired from BES is 145 thousand 316, and the amount
of BES state subsidy is 19 million 537 million TL. However,
the number of OKS employers is 232 thousand 238 people
and the amount of OKS state subsidy funds is 509 million
82 thousand TL.
