According to the data of the Pension Monitoring Center (E.G.M.) dated
24.09.2021; the total number of participants in BES increased by 96
thousand people compared to the same period of the previous year and
reached 6 million 971 thousand people at the end of the third quarter of
2021. During this period, the number of participants included in the sys-
tem through automatic participation (OKS) increased by 728 thousand
people compared to the same period last year and amounted to 7 million
189 thousand people.

At the end of the third quarter of the year, the total fund size in BES
increased by 19.25 percent compared to the same period last year and
amounted to 154 billion 216 million TL, while the fund size of partici-
pants who were in the system with automatic participation increased by
33.78% over the same period and amounted to 13 billion 910 million
TL.
At the end of the third quarter, the number of participants who retired
from the BES was 160,558 people, and the amount of the BES state
contribution fund was 22 billion 223 million TL. However, the number
of OKS employers turned out to be 238 thousand 32 people, and the
amount of the OKS state contribution fund amounted to 639 million 765
thousand TL.

“With the number of 2 million 8 thousand participants in
BES, Turkey Hayat Emeklilik continued to lead”

At the end of the third quarter, Türkiye Hayat ve Emeklilik maintained its
leadership in the total number of participants in the BES. In this period,
the total number of participants of the company was seen as 2 million 8
thousand people, while the company had 28.81% of the total number of
participants. Garanti Emeklilik ve Hayat took the second place in this
period with the share of 1 million 123 thousand participants and the
number of participants of 16.11%. Anadolu Hayat ve Emeklilik took the
third place with 1 million 108 thousand participants and a participant
share of 15.9%.
