MetLife Turkey Internal Audit Team Receives the ‘’Corporate Awareness Award’’

MetLife Turkey’s Internal Audit Team has been honored with one of the most prestigious awards in the country’s auditing field, the “Corporate Awareness Award.” Presented since 2011, the award was given at the 15th Internal Audit Awareness Awards Ceremony, held within the 29th International Turkey Internal Audit Congress, organized as part of the Turkish Internal Audit Institute’s (TİDE) 30th anniversary celebrations. Only two institutions across all sectors were deemed worthy of this award, which evaluates contributions to promoting the internal audit profession and awareness initiatives.

Representing MetLife Turkey, Internal Audit Team members Ferda Günaçtı Yazgan, Ümran Bülbül, and Sevgül Beliz Uçurum received the award. The main initiatives that earned the MetLife Internal Audit Team this award are as follows: Through fictional and interactive events such as Internal Audit Awareness Month and Risk Week, combined skillfully with corporate and social media communications, strong awareness was created among both internal and external stakeholders. Volunteer work and mentoring activities further strengthened professional awareness both within and outside the organization. In addition, by adopting agile methodologies and integrating artificial intelligence and data analytics (M365 Copilot, IBM OpenPages–MARA, Power BI) into the audit process, the team improved process efficiency and achieved a measurable increase in the risk culture index; this holistic impact played a decisive role in receiving the award.
