The meeting was attended by MAPFRE Sigorta CEO Erdinç Yurtseven, MAPFRE Global Risks CEO Bosco Frankoy, MAPFRE Sigorta’s senior management team, as well as numerous business partners and insured clients.
Throughout the event, a detailed assessment of the MAPFRE Group and its business units was conducted; additionally, discussions were held on the current state of the sector, the realities and needs of the local market, and mutual expectations. During his presentation, MAPFRE Global Risks CEO Bosco Frankoy highlighted global perceptions of major risks, how these risks are evaluated by institutions and markets, trends in the insurance industry, as well as MAPFRE Global Risks’ areas of expertise and value proposition.
MAPFRE Sigorta CEO Erdinç Yurtseven stated: “MAPFRE today provides insurance, reinsurance and assistance services to more than 30 million customers across 5 continents and 38 countries. Thanks to our Group’s 92-year-established heritage, strong financial structure and customer-centric approach, we are one of the most reputable brands in global insurance. As MAPFRE Sigorta, we completed 2024 in 6th place among the 25 countries where the Group’s direct insurance operations are carried out, both in terms of premium volume and profit figures. In the EMEA region, we hold the leading position. With the support of MAPFRE Global Risks, we achieved significant momentum in acquiring new business in commercial and industrial lines in 2025. Our goal is to carry this success even further in 2026. In 2025, our growth in the broker channel exceeded the sector by 20 points. These results show that the relationship we have built with our business partners is based on a foundation of strategic partnership and mutual value creation. In the coming period, thanks to our strong collaboration, we will continue to enhance the trust and value we offer to our customers,” he said.
MAPFRE Global Risks CEO Bosco Francoy, in his evaluation of the meeting, said: “Data from the World Economic Forum (WEF) offers an important vision of the current global risk environment. Particularly geopolitical and economic uncertainties, environmental risks, and technological threats such as cyberattacks are transforming the way companies approach insurance. As MAPFRE Global Risks, with our network of experts spanning 163 countries, our strength in managing international programs, and our ‘A’-level financial structure, we are a long-term, solution-oriented business partner supporting our clients in managing this complex risk environment. In this process, we are very pleased to support the sustainable growth goals of our business partners in Türkiye, which holds strategic importance for the MAPFRE Group, together with MAPFRE Sigorta. This gathering we held in Istanbul was extremely valuable for assessing the dynamics of the Turkish market on-site and further strengthening the strong synergy we have with our business partners. The dialogue we have established with our partners forms the foundation for strategic opportunities that will carry our regional collaborations into the future,” he said.
