İstanbul Toy Museum was established with the most valuable
pieces of the toy history which were bought by Sunay Akın since
1990 from the collectors, antique shops and auctions in differ-
ent countries using the income from the copyrights of his books
and shows. The museum aims to offer the visitors the history of
civilization in a more amusing and catchy learning method. For
instance, the section of space toys tells the story of the efforts to
reach the moon and the section of train toys tells the story of in-
dustrial revolution in the language of toys. Bearing this thought
İstanbul Toy Museum was founded by the poet/author Sunay in mind, the decoration was designed by the stage designer Ayhan
Akın on 23 April 2005 as a museum that displays the toys which Doğan. It is first of its kind in the world as a museum that was
