participants in the Individual Pension System
(BES) stood at 6 million 859 thousand
people, while number of Auto-Enrollment

Participants reached 6 million 18. During
2019, total fund size of BES reached 16
billion 855 million USD; and fund size gained

from auto-enrollment participants reached 1
billion 375 million USD.

he BES system decreased by 0.3 percent compared to the end of
previous year and stood at 6 million 859 thousand. On the contra-
ry, number of people that joined the system via auto-enrollment
(OKS) increased by 20.52 percent, reaching 6 million 18.

At the end of 2019, total fund size of BES participants stood at
16 billion 855 million USD, and fund size of OKS participants at
1 billion 374 million USD.

Contributions collected from BES participants reached 11 million
305 million USD with 8 million 181 pension contracts at the end
of 2019. (USD/TRY parity at the end of 2019 was 5.9311; com-
pared to 5.2984 at the end of 2018)
