According to the data of the Pension Monitoring Center (E.G.M.)
dated 25.06.2021, the total number of participants in BES increased
by 70 thousand compared to the same period of the previous year and
reached 6 million 907 thousand at the end of the second quarter of
2021. In this period, the number of participants who joined the sys-
tem through auto-enrollment (OKS) increased by 527 thousand 716
people compared to the same period of the previous year and reached
6 million 777 thousand participants.

At the end of the second quarter of the year, the total fund size in
BES increased by 26.2 percent compared to the same period of the
previous year and reached 149 billion 910 million TL, while the fund
size of the participants in the system with auto-enrollment increased
by 31.17% and reached 12 billion 938 million TL in the same pe-
riod.

At the end of the second quarter, the number of participants who
retired from BES is 153 thousand 942, and the fund amount of BES
state subsidy is 21 billion 190 million TL. However, the number of
OKS employers is 235 thousand people and the amount of OKS state
subsidy funds is 579 million 775 thousand TL.
