         Saturday, December 17, 2022

Address: Rumeli Cad., Taş Konak 6B Şişli/İstanbul Şişli İstanbul

Kalyon Kültür is hosting the group exhibition titled ‘İnsan Eli Değmiş’, the second leg of the exhibition series focusing on the
relationship between nature and art, one of the most important themes of digital art, between 17 September - 17 December
2022 in Nişantaşı Taş Konak. After the Flora exhibition, curated by Ceren and Irmak Arkman, which met with great in-terest
and brought together the leading figures of the digital art field, the curators focus on the effects of people on nature by drawing
attention to one of the most important problems of our time, the climate crisis. 17. Held in parallel with the 17th Istanbul Bi-
ennial, the ‘İnsan Eli Değmiş’ exhibition brings together works by Evan Roth, Félix Luque & Iñigo Bilbao, François Quévillon,
Kevin Coo-ley, Persijn Broersen & Margit Lukács, Sabrina Ratté and Volkan Kızıltunç. While Kalyon Kültür will bring together
nine international artists with its new exhibition, it will support the theme of the exhibition with talks and workshops on nature,
recycling and sustainabil-ity as part of the event program to be announced in the coming days.

9 international artists bring nature theme
         together with technology

Spanish artist Félix Luque, who explores the relationship of people
with technology, also touches on current issues such as the develop-
ment of artificial intelligence, in the exhibi-tion that spans two floors
of Nişantaşı Taş Konak meets art lovers with a 20-minute video in-
stallation titled JunkYard III (Car Cemetery III), in which he shows
the accumulated car wrecks as archaeological remains for the future.
Focusing on the idea that automobile ac-cidents occur with the inven-
tion of the automobile, the artist questions the visitors whether the
total damage done by the industry is a historical accident affecting the
exist-ence of human beings. Canadian artist François Quévillon conveys how technology changes people, culture, en-vironment,
time, space and our relationships with each other and the video installation highlights research on the Pyroclastic Trails and the
impact of mining on the extinct vol-canoes of the Sierra de Santa Catarina south of Mexico City.
