                            Padre                                             Nobu İstanbul



                                                                The  New  York  restaurant  Nobu,  in  which  Robert  De  Niro
                                                                and Nobu Matsuhisa are partners, is a gastronomic phenom-
                                                                enon that has spread throughout the world. You no longer
                                                                need to jump on a plane to experience Nobu delicacies, you
                                                                can experience this privilege in Istanbul. Inter-preting Jap-
                                                                anese and Peruvian cuisine together, celebrity chef Matsu-
                                                                hisa’s signature dishes achieve the same quality everywhere,
                                                                so that each new city where Nobu will open goes through a
                                                                long preparation period. The menu, prepared for Istanbul by
                                                                the brand’s corporate chef Hervé Courtot, includes both Nobu
                                                                classics and new flavors interpreted with local ingre-dients.
                                                                From hot dishes, black cod miso (380 TL) is a chef’s speci-
                                                                ality. Cod made with Miso sauce is now famous worldwide
                                                                thanks to this dish. If you want to taste crispy shrimp on the
                                                                outside, you can experience rock shrimp tempura (180 TL)
                                                                with ponzu sauce or spicy cream. From cold dishes, yellowtail
                                                                jalapeno (190 TL) is served with yellowtail fish and jalapeno
                                                                pep-pers prepared like carpaccio. Nobu also has a rich sushi
                                                                menu, where you can find both nigiri and sashimi options,
                                                                and flavors prepared using only vegetables for vegetarians. A
                                                                feature that will make Nobu in Istanbul different from other
                                                                branches is the panoramic view of the restaurant. Guests can
                                                                access the restaurant through two separate entrances, both
                                                                the Ritz-Carlton Istanbul and Süzer Plaza. The use of wood
                                                                in space design gives the space a calm-ness unique to Asia.
                                                                The refreshment of the turquoise tones of the Bosphorus has
                                                                also not been forgotten. Another thing that will not be forgot-
                                                                ten is the taste of the dinner you will eat here.

       The three co-founders behind the Padres have successful and
       versatile careers. Bülent Ilgaz is one of the founders of Candan
       and Yelken restaurants. Selim Sefada, one of the founders of
       Ultraslan, is a leading figure in both the pharmaceutical and
       entertainment industry. Yağız Izgül, author of the book ’Tek
       Gecelik Yemekler’, broadcasts cooking programs on Instagram
       and YouTube. With such a visionary and experienced team at
       the back, success was not delayed, and people began to wait in
       line for the tastes of the Padres. Padre’s place in Arnavutköy,
       which also has a branch in Levent, was formerly the home of the
       pastor of the church opposite. The name of the restaurant refers
       to him. Sauces such as Roquefort, cherry barbecue, pickled on-
       ions and tomato jam, which you see when reviewing the menu at
       the place that interprets street food, whet your appetite.
